Former Pakistan Captain Babar Azam is dropped from ODI for a tour against Bangladesh. After the disaster performance in T20 world cup 2026, PCB decided to dropped Babar Azam from the squad for a One Day International series against Bangladesh, despite he score a century in his last ODI series.
The PCB announced a 15 man squad on Wednesday without Babar who made 102 unbeaten against Sri Lanka in November 2025.

Shaheen Shah Afridi appointed ODI skipper in late 2025 (replacing Rizwan after the disaster campaign of Champions Trophy 2025) which was held in Pakistan. He took 131 ODI wickets at 24.28 avg, team arrives March 9 post-T20 World cup 2026 semi’s miss on NRR (Sahibzada Farhan’s 383 runs heroics).
The PCB called up six uncapped players including Abdul Samad, Maaz Sadaqat, Saad Masood and Shamyl Hussain, who played against the England Lions in Abu Dhabi before the series was called off due to the series conflict in the Middle East. So this is the new journey for these young guns players.
